Mistake #1
The aspect ratio is incorrect. This piece is depicted at 80% of its size in our direct mail piece. Going to 100% results in a 4” x 5” piece, which results in an aspect ratio (length divided by height) of 1.25. The range of aspect ratio for automation rate lettermail is 1.3 to 2.5. Mistake #2
The leftmost bar of barcode outside specified location. When the delivery point barcode is printed in the lower right corner of a lettersize piece the leftmost bar of the barcode must be "between 3-1/2 inches and 4-1/4 inches from the right edge of the piece." Reference: DMM 58 C840.2.3a

Mistake #3
There's a barcode clear zone violation. When the delivery point barcode is printed in the lower right corner barcode clear zone (a space of 4 3/4" x 5/8", measured from the right edge and bottom edge, respectively) must be free of all other print. Reference: DMM 58 QSG 001 Glossary of Postal Terms and Abbreviations, definition of "Barcode Clear Zone".

Mistake #4
There's also a permit imprint violation. The wavy lines to the right of the permit imprint are disallowed by postal regs. Reference: DMM 58 P040.4.2d

Mistake #5
The delivery point barcode is too close to the right. The rightmost bar of the delivery point barcode may not be less than 1/2 inch from the right edge of a lettersize piece. Reference: DMM 58 C840.2.5f

Bonus Mistake #6
There are four zeros in the +4 section of the ZIP+4 code and represented in same section of the delivery point barcode. This should never happen. USPS has a zero tolerance for this type of error. One detected piece with a “0000” in the +4 causes the entire mailing to lose automation discounts.
